About The Position

The Bobcat Operator position at Hood Plywood involves operating a bobcat to assist in various manufacturing tasks. Requirements

• Bobcat operator certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a bobcat.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, carry, walk, and stand for most of the work shift.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including at or above shoulder height.
• Willingness to work in tight spaces or where mobility can be limited.
• Able to work in an industrial setting that requires the use of safety-toed boots, hard hat, etc.
• Willingness to work flexible hours; including nights, holidays, weekend, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Remove debris from under or around equipment within the operations area.
• Load and unload materials.
• Dig and grade sites for preparation of work to be completed.
• Perform daily checks on bobcat as well as routine maintenance checks.
• Communicate with lead and other members of the team to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues making necessary adjustments and reporting major problems to the lead for maintenance.
• Adhere to company specifications and guidelines to ensure work is completed to the required standards.
• Assist clean-up crew/team in maintaining operations area, facility grounds and parking areas.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the use of all personal protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned such as spark/fire watch duties and janitorial tasks.
