About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Boat/Yacht HVAC Technician to join our team and support the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems on a wide variety of vessels. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting ability, and hands-on experience with both marine and traditional HVAC systems. This role plays a critical part in delivering top-quality service, ensuring vessel safety, and providing an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited HVAC technical program.
  • Previous experience in HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair (marine HVAC experience highly preferred).
  • Knowledge of tools, diagnostic equipment, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC system components.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a field-service environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with technicians and service teams.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and marine conditions, including onboard confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Install, retrofit, repair, wire, and commission a variety of marine HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Perform installation of electrical and mechanical components associated with heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving air conditioning systems, chillers, refrigeration units, plumbing connections, and general marine systems.
  • Provide high-quality maintenance and service while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and clear communication.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system performance issues, including airflow, refrigeration cycles, and electrical faults.
  • Complete preventative maintenance, component replacements, system upgrades, and modifications as needed.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, including work orders, diagnostic notes, and parts usage.
  • Follow all safety protocols and marine-specific compliance requirements.
