About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Boat/Yacht HVAC Technician to join our team and support the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems on a wide variety of vessels. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting ability, and hands-on experience with both marine and traditional HVAC systems. This role plays a critical part in delivering top-quality service, ensuring vessel safety, and providing an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited HVAC technical program.
Previous experience in HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair (marine HVAC experience highly preferred).
Knowledge of tools, diagnostic equipment, refrigeration cycles, and HVAC system components.
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a field-service environment.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating with technicians and service teams.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and marine conditions, including onboard confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Install, retrofit, repair, wire, and commission a variety of marine HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Perform installation of electrical and mechanical components associated with heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving air conditioning systems, chillers, refrigeration units, plumbing connections, and general marine systems.
Provide high-quality maintenance and service while maintaining strong customer satisfaction and clear communication.
Identify, analyze, and resolve system performance issues, including airflow, refrigeration cycles, and electrical faults.
Complete preventative maintenance, component replacements, system upgrades, and modifications as needed.
Maintain accurate service documentation, including work orders, diagnostic notes, and parts usage.
Follow all safety protocols and marine-specific compliance requirements.
