About The Position

The Adventure Desk Salesperson position at the Malibu Pier involves selling boat tickets, car rentals, and private boat charters while providing excellent customer service. Requirements

  • Friendly, confident, and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to use a computer for printing paperwork and checking the online reservation system.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods while exposed to the sun, heat, and wind.
  • Willingness to participate in a drug testing program as per United States Coast Guard regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in sales or customer service (not required).

Responsibilities

  • Selling boat tickets, car rentals, and private boat charters.
  • Opening and closing the Adventure Desk, including setting up and putting away signage, tables, chairs, and umbrellas.
  • Ensuring customers fill out forms accurately and maintaining a simple filing system.
  • Physically assisting boat passengers as they step on and off boats.
  • Occasionally serving as a boat crewmember when crewmember shifts need to be covered.
