About The Position

Mark’s Leisure Time Marine is one of the region’s fastest-growing marine dealerships, providing customers with premium boats, unmatched service, and an exceptional ownership experience. We are expanding our sales team and looking for a motivated, customer-focused Boat Sales Consultant to help customers enjoy life on the water.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in sales (marine, automotive, RV, powersports, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Passion for boating and the outdoors—hands-on marine experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to learn products quickly and explain technical features clearly.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a drive to exceed goals.
  • Ability to work weekends and seasonal extended hours as required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license; ability to tow trailers is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, engage, and build relationships with customers visiting the showroom, lot, boat shows, and online channels.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend the right boats, motors, trailers, and accessories.
  • Follow up with leads from website inquiries, phone calls, walk-ins, and marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct professional walk-arounds, demo rides, and product presentations.
  • Guide customers through the entire sales process—including trade evaluations, financing options, and delivery coordination.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of current inventory, new models, promotions, and marine industry trends.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the showroom and boats are clean, staged, and ready for presentation.
  • Accurately complete paperwork, CRM notes, and customer communications.
  • Participate in dealership events, boat shows, open houses, and manufacturer trainings.
