About The Position
On Kiawah Island, located south of Charleston, South Carolina, day breaks across a pristine 10-mile beach, expansive marsh savannahs, ribboning rivers, and some of the most-acclaimed amenities available on the Eastern Seaboard. The Kiawah Island Club delivers a diverse collection of private amenities in distinctive venues. When you come to Kiawah, you’ll know if it’s right for you the moment you set foot on the Island. It produces a feeling you can’t quite describe but you never want to let go. We are seeking a Boat Club Assistant. The Boat Club provides easy access to Kiawah’s waterways to members of the Kiawah Island Club by providing to two types of services. The Concierge program removes the hassles of boat ownership by providing launch, retrieval, maintenance, and cleaning services. The Boat Rental program provides the same level of service and ease by offering the use of Club boats without ownership. The Boat Club Assistant helps to manage daily operations at the direction of the Boat Club Manager while providing the highest level of customer service to the membership and guests. This is a SEASONAL POSITION from May 1, 2026 - September 15, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that Club policies and core values are practiced daily
- Conduct individually tailored boat orientations to include safe boating operations, rules of the road, and navigation
- Trailering, launching, and retrieving member and Club boats
- Maintain accurate fuel logs
- Post rental and fuel charges
- Assist other Club departments with operations
