About The Position

Our Mission Beverly’s PGH exists to celebrate and strengthen families. Through the Three B’s – Birthdays, Babies, and Basics – the organization serves more than 35,000 children and families annually across Southwestern PA. Founded in 2012, Beverly’s PGH has grown dramatically over the past fourteen years and now operates with a multimillion-dollar budget and a team of 17 employees. Who We’re Looking For Beverly's PGH is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors as we continue to grow our impact. Ideal candidates are natural connectors and decision-makers — individuals who enjoy bringing people together, hold influence within their organization or community, and are eager to use that influence to open doors, build partnerships, and advance the mission. Strong candidates communicate well, think strategically, and are energized by collaboration and community impact. Are willing to contribute their time, skills, and experience to help guide and strengthen the organization. Bring strong interpersonal and communication skills. Have a track record of leadership in community, professional, or nonprofit settings (prior board service preferred). Have influence within their company and/or community networks and are eager to use that influence to build relationships, open doors, drive partnership and financial contributions, and create meaningful connections that support our mission. Demonstrate commitment to equity, inclusion, and representation. Exhibit strategic thinking, creativity, and openness to diverse perspectives. While not required, Beverly’s PGH would particularly benefit from board members who bring insight, access, or experience in areas such as law, human resources, major gifts fundraising, leadership coaching, video and digital marketing, government relations, large-scale event planning, corporate partnerships, and retail operations or purchasing. These perspectives strengthen our work, but the most essential qualification is a willingness to actively engage, connect, and use influence in service of the mission.
