About The Position

This position is responsible for developing programmatic supports for students whose behavior significantly impacts their learning and participation in the educational environment or for those students who have pervasive behaviors that are not improving. The BCBA provides leadership for administrators, district partners, Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT), and other licensed and unlicensed Behavior Specialists, teachers, parents, and school personnel to address student behavior.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in student support field (e.g., psychology, education, social work, school counseling)with coursework in behavior analysis.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the National Behavior Analyst CertificationBoard (BACB).
  • Required experience must include at least one (1) year experience completing comprehensive functionalassessments and behavior support plans, with two (2) years' experience serving individuals withdisabilities.
  • Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior InterventionPlans (BIPs)
  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) practices and data collection methods
  • Ability to train and support school staff in implementing behavior plans
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with special education laws and school-based service
