Requirements

  • Master’s degree required in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Behavioral Science, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
  • State licensure (if applicable) required or eligible upon hire.
  • CPR/BLS certification required or obtained during orientation.
  • Crisis intervention certification (CPI, Handle With Care, or equivalent) required or obtained upon hire.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience providing ABA services preferred (preferably inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health setting).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supervising RBTs or behavioral staff preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with severe behavioral or psychiatric needs strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and behavioral evaluations for psychiatric patients.
  • Develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on clinical assessment findings.
  • Provide clinical supervision and direction to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and behavioral support staff.
  • Ensure fidelity of behavior plan implementation through observation, coaching, and feedback.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, therapists, case managers, and hospital leadership to support patient care.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute behavioral expertise to treatment planning.
  • Review and analyze behavioral data to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Provide clinical guidance for behavioral crisis prevention and intervention planning.
  • Support staff during behavioral escalations through coaching and intervention planning.
  • Maintain active BCBA certification and ethical compliance with BACB standards.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives related to patient outcomes and safety.
