About The Position

The Learning Community, a vibrant, welcoming public charter school that centers the voices of students, families, and teachers, seeks a highly collaborative, dedicated Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. What is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst? This is a unique position that bridges our rapidly changing student needs with student observation and planning, paraprofessional and instructional coaching! This key role is focused on observing students who are struggling with the behavior expectations of a classroom setting and then working with those who serve those students to create (a revision) plans for those students. We are not focused on aggressive behavior primarily. This role focuses on the major increase in neurodiversity across the board and the desire of our team to learn as much as we can to meet the needs of every student! This role promotes the long-term success for students, while building the capacity of educators and service providers through embedded coaching (including modeling, observing, plan revision and professional development) through the implementation (and revision) of those plans as we learn together. This is a brand-new role and we are excited to develop it fully as a team!
