Join our collaborative group of educators as our BCBA in the Lower School Program. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in our schools, you will focus on supporting students with multiple disabilities who engage in unsafe or interfering behavior by identifying and conducting function-based interventions that promote safe behavior and skill development. You will conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), create behavior support plans (BSPs), and collect and analyze behavior data. You will also train staff on how to implement behavior programming, and participate in diverse student teams, including teaching staff, related service providers, and families or caregivers.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education, behavior analysis, or related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing as verified through the BACB
  • Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) in the state of Massachusetts
  • Ability to complete and maintain Safety-Care trainer certification

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with students with multiple disabilities is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct FBAs to identify the function of interfering or unsafe behaviors
  • Develop BSPs that include evidence-based interventions
  • Collect and analyze student behavior data to monitor student progress and adjust BSPs to ensure success of the student
  • Regularly review data collected with staff and families and interpret the results
  • Write student Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, collect IEP data, and report IEP data in progress reports and IEP meetings
  • Attend team meetings for students on your caseload
  • Train staff on behavioral principles, strategies, data collection, and the implementation of student BSPs
  • Collaborate with school teams, including special education staff and related service providers, to ensure consistent and effective support for students
  • Maintain professional boundaries as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and Perkins School for the Blind
  • Supervise registered behavior technicians (RBTs) and BCBA practicum students as needed
  • Assist with intake assessment and planning in collaboration with admissions
  • Assist with transition planning for students on your caseload in collaboration with student teams
  • Once Safety-Care trainer certified, provide Safety-Care training as needed
  • Take an involved approach to student support and daily needs
  • Caseloads assigned based on evolving needs across schools
  • Other duties as assigned
