Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Mt. Kisco, NY, this position is responsible for providing leadership to teachers and other staff in the areas of curriculum development and behavior. This role will, in conjunction with administration, coordinate and conduct training sessions for all classroom staff. They will conduct observations to evaluate the effectiveness of training and program implementation, and will develop and present data and information on treatment fidelity. The BCBA will take over duties for an assigned classroom in the absence of a teacher, and will direct instruction to students to assist teachers in developeing skill acquisition programs when it appears a student is not making adequate progress. They will administer and manage online database systems (KITE, EZTRAC, IEP DIRECT) and will participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including pre-CSE, CSE as needed, parent training, and treatment team meetings. The BCBA, in conjunction with administration, will ensure that all reports and documentation is presented on time for annual reviews, and will also prepare our students for transition to adult services. Requirements

  • Master's Degree (in Special Education preferred)
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential.
  • At least five years experience in supervising and training staff
  • At least five year’s experience with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
