The UW Autism Center (UWAC) currently has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The UW Autism Center (UWAC) is devoted to supporting families affected by autism spectrum disorders through exceptional clinical services, innovative scientific research and high-quality training. UWAC is part of the Center on Human Development and Disability at the University of Washington and incorporates faculty and staff from the UW School of Medicine, College of Arts & Sciences, and College of Education. This individual will work among a team of professionals, including licensed psychologists, speech-language pathologists, behavior analysts, behavior technicians, medical professionals, faculty, graduate students, and pre- and post-doctoral fellows. The two main functions of this position include participating in our Training and School Services team and participating on our ABA Team. On our Training and School Services team this position includes providing professional development and training and consultation to the community including parents/family members, educators, and other providers. On our ABA team this position includes designing, implementing and modifying direct intervention and instructional programs for children, adolescents, and adults with autism using evidence-based interventions. The position will support the Autism Center-wide policies and procedures and workload standards. The position requires specialized training and expertise related to autism and the ability to handle complex and sensitive situations. Opportunities to develop new programs are available and encouraged. This position will report directly to the Director of Training and School Services and the Director of ABA Services for the UW Autism Center. This position will include providing clinical services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
