About The Position

Nursing Assistant Training
Miller's is proud to provide training for those interested in a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant free of charge. Each student is required to complete class room training and clinical training. Upon completion, students must pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide. See below for more details on training.

Requirements

• Pass all classroom tests with 80% or higher (3 attempts allowed)
• Complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long-term care facility
• Perform all required skills successfully during the practicum
• Pass a criminal background check
• Pass a TB test
• Pass a physical
• Attend all classroom sessions
• Complete all required skills on checklist (RCP)
• Complete a clinical sign-in record daily, signed by a licensed professional

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom training
• Complete clinical training
• Pass the state exam to become a Certified Nurse's Aide
• Complete 36-40 hours of classroom work
• Pass all classroom tests with 80% or higher
• Complete 75 hours of supervised practicum in a long-term care facility
• Perform all required skills successfully during the practicum
• Complete a clinical sign-in record daily, signed by a licensed professional

Benefits

• Scheduled test date paid for by Miller’s Merry Manor if hired and in good standing as an employee
• If the student does not pass the 1st test it may be retaken and paid for by Miller’s a second time
