About The Position

The BMW Product Associate is an integral part of the BMW Group Product team and is responsible for building and maintaining the e-commerce product assortment for the BMW/MINI catalog. With a strong emphasis on accuracy, this involves curating and updating products, fitments, and attributes to deliver a best-in-class catalog for the BMW community. This role includes routine catalog maintenance, participating and contributing to strategic projects, and assisting and supporting other departments in ensuring FCP Euro provides the best possible experience for its customers. As part of the larger BMW Product Team (including the BMW Group Director, BMW Product Manager, and BMW Make Marketing Lead), the Product Associate must demonstrate strong collaboration and clear communication skills to advance the product team's strategic goals. This role also serves as a critical interface between the BMW team and departments such as Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Marketing. Requirements

  • Automotive Expertise: Current or past experience in the automotive industry with strong knowledge of BMW car parts and systems.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and a track record of strong personal performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Solutions-based mindset with an ability to manage projects and solve problems effectively.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Adaptability: Proven success in a fast-paced, self-driven work environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Google Suite and/or MS Office tools.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update product fitments, descriptions, and attributes to ensure accuracy and completeness in the digital catalog.
  • Oversee accurate taxonomy mappings, OE number mapping, and supersessions, and vehicle and reference table updates.
  • Conduct regular catalog maintenance on makes, categories, and brands for SKUs and product listings to optimize performance or consolidate listings for a clearer selection and better customer experience.
  • Manage catalog updates based on service inquiries and community feedback to enhance the customer experience.
  • Monitor SKU quality and availability issues, ensuring minimal lead time for customers and optimal solutions for European vehicles.
  • Collaborate with the BMW Make Group team by contributing observations, experiences, and ideas to improve catalog quality and meet revenue goals.
