About The Position

Texas Oncology is looking for a Nursing Supervisor (RN) to join our team! This position will support the BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) department at our Dallas Medical City location. This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Minimum 5 years actively practicing as a registered nurse.
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience.
  • OCN certification preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities.
  • Ensures adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics.
  • Maintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters.
  • Ensures clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Monitors and evaluates patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures.
  • Coordinates, implements, and assists with staff training, in-services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff.
  • Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff.
  • Serves as mentor/preceptor and provides day to day guidance to less experienced nurses.
  • Other duties as assigned.
