About The Position

This full-time position involves developing code to control mechanical devices used for ventilation, steam, chilled water, hot water, and humidification. The role requires resolving programming problems by clarifying project manager complaints, determining the cause of issues, selecting and explaining solutions, expediting corrections, and following up to ensure resolution. The position also involves promoting and maintaining good relations with customers, consultants, and project management, while providing technical guidance and support for complex building automation and control systems. Responsibilities include verifying system performance, making recommendations for energy conservation and efficiency, and performing emergency connections to neutralize alarm conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with BMS/BAS control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, flow charts, schematics, and control sequences.
  • Ability to analyze complex control sequences and develop innovative solutions.
  • Skill in dealing with customers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Ability to acquire specialized knowledge in rapidly changing technology.
  • Knowledgeable with controls, sensing, and actuating devices.
  • Proficient with computers and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies the functional performance of systems.
  • Provides recommendations on equipment/systems operation for energy conservation and efficiency.
  • Performs emergency connections to neutralize alarm conditions.
