About The Position

Part time Project Designer (21-30 hours a week) sought to design residential landscapes. Designer will be tasked with creating project design packages which include 3D renderings, plans, elevations, perspective drawings, photo montages and construction documents and details. We offer a flexible schedule with a combination of remote and in office work possible. Ideal applicant can work quickly and efficiently, has formal training in landscape design/landscape architecture, has experience with all phases of design drawings from concept to construction details as well as estimating jobs. Knowledge of growth habits and direct experience with native and cultivated northeast plants is appreciated but not required.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe suite, and Sketch Up required
  • At least one year of paid work as a designer for landscape design/architecture firm or related firm with excellent references
  • BSLA, MLA or certificate in landscape design
  • Well spoken and able to communicate design concepts and intents to clients
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Punctual, dependable, organized, with an excellent work ethic and positive attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of growth habits and direct experience with native and cultivated northeast plants

Responsibilities

  • Produce compelling design packages on time and on budget
  • Measure sites and create base plans in AutoCAD
  • Work collaboratively with landscape design assistant, project managers, lead builder and principal to execute designs both in the office and in the field
  • Present design projects to clients and stakeholders
