Purpose and role of job: We are seeking an Extrusion Operator for our First Quality Print & Packaging facility located in Anderson, SC. Extrusion Operators are responsible for operating a machine in a safe, competent, efficient, and productive manner.

Requirements

Completes all required training and assessments.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate orally and written.
Ability to work in a team orientated environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One to two years manufacturing experience required.

Nice To Haves

Blown film experience is a plus.
Prior computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
Follows necessary GMP, OSHA, SQF regulations/guidelines.
Keeps records of the operation of the machine and troubleshooting that was done.
Maintains quality standards for the product.
Ensures the proper materials are in place in a timely and orderly fashion
Keeps the machine and the surrounding area clean.
Assists maintenance personnel as required.
Assists with the training of other employees as needed.
Must be able to solve problems and root cause analysis.
Must meet First Quality’s core values and principles.
Must be flexible in work hours, dependable and committed to First Quality and producing a quality product.
Expectation of a challenging and learning experience and willingness to be taught.
Ability to climb ladders and work from high ground.
Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Conducts job in a manner which complies to the food safety program (SQF).
Reports food safety problems immediately to supervisor or a QA team member.
Takes actions where appropriate.
