Job Summary: The Blow Mold Lead assists the Shift Supervisor with ensuring that the finished product meets the quality and quantity standards and that work is conducted safely and efficiently. Essential Functions: Assists oversees the work of all Blow Mold employees, machines and equipment ensuring that the quality and quantity of the production meets the specifications. Inspects products to ensure appropriate weight, wall thickness and other quality tests to meet product spacifications. Conducts and follows up on prior inspections’ findings to address issues with employees and makes recommendations to the shift Supervisor. Provides continued support and feedback to production employees to ensure that work is conducted effectively and safely. Verifies production count at the start and end of the shift. Helps relieve workers from production during their corresponding breaks. Assists with material, color, and mold changes process. Helps with equipment maintenance, repairs troubleshooting, and reports issues to the supervisor or department manager. Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to the supervisor or department manager. Coordinates the activities of the team to ensure that all processes and procedures are followed accurately and efficiently. Keeps the team motivated to achieve daily goals and acts as a mentor to other team members. Provides regular feedback to supervisor regarding the performance of the team, including identifying areas for improvement and recommending strategies to enhance productivity and quality. Collaborates with other leads and supervisors to develop and implement process improvements and best practices for the department. Participates in the training of new employees. Accurately documents employee behavior and provides to Department Manager General Functions: Collaborates with other members of the team to ensure that deadlines are met, and products are delivered on time. Consistently abides by established safety rules, procedures, and regulations including wearing required safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses. Mains a clean and organized work environment. Identifies and reports quality or safety issues to supervisor or manager. Works effectively with co-workers and supervisors, sharing knowledge, resources, and experience to achieve production goals in a timely fashion, while promoting respect, communication, and teamwork. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
