As the Bloodborne & Sexually Transmitted Infections Section Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, planning, development, and fiscal management of all aspects of the individual programs and activities in the Section. This includes: Surveillance and epidemiological analysis of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis C virus (HCV) and sexually transmitted infection (STIs); HIV, HCV and STI counseling, testing and prevention services; HIV biomedical prevention services including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP); Ryan White HIV treatment and support services; HIV Drug Assistance Program (HDAP); and HIV Insurance Program. You will be responsible for the overall direction and supervision of all personnel, procurement and other management activities in the Section. You will promote, coordinate and maintain contacts and relationships with other Sections, Bureaus and agencies both within and outside of state government, including federal agencies. You will also be responsible for ensuring effective working and contractual relationships with local public health, medical clinics and private non-profit agencies. The position oversees all fiscal management activities, including the development and submission of federal grants and cooperative agreements, budget negotiations, the management of complex program budgets and oversight of statewide prevention and care contracts. The mission of this position and the Section is to prevent the transmission of HIV, HCV and STIs in Wisconsin, mitigate the spread of those diseases, and assure that those persons already infected have ready access to high quality care and treatment.
