Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to qualify for the company driver program.
Must have a blood license in Georgia.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Responsibilities

Bleeds pullets and Breeder hens as scheduled.
Collects fat and blood samples prior to processing
Prepares and delivers samples to State of Georgia Poultry Lab.
Makes out a weekly schedule. Assistance in the delivery of day-old pullets to the Farm.
Weighs and adjusts feed weekly.
Responsible for spraying Pullet vaccine on a weekly schedule as needed.
Assists Pullet Manager in weighing and moving pullets.
Assists Breeder Manager in weight breeder flocks.
Understands animal welfare policy.
Other duties as assigned
