About The Position

The American Red Cross is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as phlebotomists, where you will play a crucial role in the blood collection process. This position offers paid training and does not require prior medical experience. You will work collaboratively with your team to create a welcoming environment for volunteer donors, ensuring their comfort and safety while collecting lifesaving blood donations. This role is integral to the mission of the Red Cross, allowing you to make a direct impact on the community and help save lives every day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights, good manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods is required.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
• Prior leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Connect personally with donors and help them understand the impact of their donations.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for volunteer donors.
• Ensure attention to detail to meet blood collection goals and regulatory requirements.
• Drive Red Cross vehicles and assist in setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites.
