A Day in the Life: Your Impact Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood — and you help make that lifesaving connection possible. You'll travel with your team to donation sites at schools, community centers, workplaces, and more. This role blends hands-on teamwork, meaningful interactions, and the satisfaction of knowing your work matters. Your day includes: Set the Stage — Transport and set up equipment to turn everyday spaces into professional donation centers. All staff work as a team to set up and tear down the equipment required to conduct a mobile blood drive. Connect with Donors — Welcome donors, listen to their stories, and help them feel comfortable and valued Build Real Skills — Perform safe, high-quality blood collections once fully trained in phlebotomy techniques Ensure Safety & Compliance — Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure every donation meets quality standards and can be safely transfused. Pack Up with Purpose — Leave each site knowing the blood collected today could reach a patient within days The Schedule (Earlysville, Virginia) We operate when donors are available, so you can expect a mix of: Early mornings Evenings Weekends Occasional holidays Some locations may require overnight travel Your schedule is shared 2–3 weeks in advance, giving you plenty of time to plan your life around your work.
