About The Position

Could you be our next Blood Bank Technologist at Paoli Hospital? As a Blood Bank Technologist, you will perform laboratory tests and procedures on blood and blood products as prescribed by physicians. You will work with the latest technology and a top-notch interdisciplinary team to help support patients and the community. The work you will be doing makes a tremendous impact! This position is eligible for up to $6,000 per year in tuition reimbursement based on your Full or Part Time status. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Graduation from an approved Clinical Laboratory Scientist program or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Previous Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience is preferred.
• Skills necessary to perform procedures in the Laboratory Procedures manual.
• Ability to distinguish color differences.
• Ability to troubleshoot instrument problems.
• Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform crossmatches, processes and tests blood products.
• Manage inventory and replace blood products from suppliers.
• Perform procedures in the Laboratory Procedures manual including specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of test results.
