As a Blood Bank Technologist, you will perform crossmatches, processes and tests blood products, manage inventory and replace blood products from suppliers. Position: Blood Bank Technologist Day Shift- one weekend per month, one summer/one winter holiday. Training period is 8 weeks. Must pass competency testing. Will travel to all MLH sites.

Requirements

• Previous Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience is preferred
• Skills necessary to perform procedures in the Laboratory Procedures manual include specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of test results.
• Ability to distinguish color differences
• Ability to troubleshoot instrument problems
• Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Graduation from an approved Clinical Laboratory Scientist program or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Associates Degree or equivalent education may be acceptable provided it meets the grandfather clause set forth by CLIA.
• MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred
