About The Position

Consensys is the leading blockchain and web3 software company founded by Joe Lubin, CEO of Consensys and Co-Founder of Ethereum. Since 2014, Consensys has been at the forefront of innovation, pioneering technological developments within the web3 ecosystem. Through our product suite, including the MetaMask platform, Infura, Linea, Diligence, and our NFT toolkit Phosphor, we have become the trusted collaborator for users, creators, and developers on their path to build and belong in the world they want to see. Whether building a dapp, an NFT collection, a portfolio, or a better future, the instinct to build is universal. Consensys inspires and champions the builder instinct in everyone by making web3 universally easy to use and develop on. Our mission is to unlock the collaborative power of communities by making the decentralized web universally easy to access, use, and build on. You’ll get to work on the tools, infrastructure, and apps that scale these platforms to onboard one billion participants and 5 million developers. You’ll be constantly exposed to new concepts, ideas, and frameworks from your peers, and as you work on different projects — challenging you to stay at the top of your game. You’ll join a network of builders that reaches the edge of our ecosystem. Consensys alumni have moved on to become tech entrepreneurs, CEOs, and team leads at tech companies. Role Summary We are seeking a Blockchain Engineer to join our Treasury team, focused on building and maintaining on-chain infrastructure to support liquidity management, cash operations, custody, and risk management. This role will design and implement smart contract solutions, automation pipelines, and integrations with custodial and non-custodial wallets to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant treasury operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of blockchain development experience (Solidity, Rust, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with smart contract development, auditing, and deployment on Ethereum and/or other major chains.
  • Strong knowledge of DeFi protocols, liquidity pools, bridges, and stablecoins.
  • Experience with custodial and non-custodial wallet infrastructure (EOA, MPC, multi-sig).
  • Proficiency with APIs, Python/TypeScript, and DevOps tooling for automation.
  • Understanding of treasury operations, cash management, and financial risk is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) integration.
  • Prior work in fintech, digital asset exchanges, or institutional crypto custody.
  • Strong security mindset: ability to identify and mitigate smart contract and infrastructure risks.

Responsibilities

  • Smart Contract Development & Auditing Design, build, and audit smart contracts to automate treasury workflows, including rebalancing, cross-chain swaps, and bridging.
  • On-Chain Infrastructure & Automation Build systems to consolidate and monitor balances across EOAs, Safe/MPC wallets, custodians, and DeFi protocols. Automate recurring transactions (e.g., stablecoin conversions, revenue rebalancing) aligned with treasury policy targets.
  • Treasury System Integration Integrate on-chain infrastructure with Treasury Management Systems (e.g., Kyriba) for unified reporting across fiat, custodial, and non-custodial accounts. Develop APIs and middleware to ensure seamless interaction between blockchain networks and internal systems.
  • Risk & Compliance Support Support risk management with real-time visibility into protocol-level exposures, credit/counterparty risk, and liquidity positions.
  • Collaboration Work closely with Treasury, Finance, Security, and Product teams to translate policy and risk requirements into technical solutions. Partner with custodians, auditors, and external vendors (e.g., MPC providers like Fireblocks/FORDEFI) for integration and compliance.
