About The Position

As a manager, you are responsible for employees and operations in the blending and grinding department. Ensuring machinery is maintained and all paperwork is completed. This job description does not list all the duties of the job. You may be asked by supervisors or managers to perform other duties.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for 12 hours
  • Must be able to operate a computer
  • Must be able to speak and read English
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and/or carry up to 10 feet
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively
  • Must be able to work with others

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift and front-loader experience preferred; manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Making sure employees are trained on equipment
  • Ensuring all safety procedures are followed
  • Track and report all downtime
  • Be able to troubleshoot equipment in the area that you are over
  • Enforce all policy and procedures with employees using correct forms
  • Track production rates
  • Communicate issues to management and maintenance as necessary
  • Communicate with emails and update spreadsheets as required
  • Complete payroll weekly
  • Schedule cleaning of mixing equipment
  • Complete inventory every Thursday and the 1st of the month
  • Track all rework created and causes to prevent future rework
  • Create a mixing schedule to meet production demands
  • Work with purchasing to ensure all raw materials are available when needed
  • Verify all testing and reporting is being completed and is accurate
  • Train employees on mixing systems as needed
  • Work with grinders to ensure testing and reporting is being completed
  • Schedule and verify delivery of rice hulls to support production needs
  • Schedule cleaning of grinding equipment as needed
  • Verify output of machine and track to ensure production can be met
  • Follow established safety regulations to include fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, wearing proper PPE, etc.
  • Follow established policies and procedures governing lifting techniques, repetitive tasks, and the use of safety equipment to prevent work related injuries or illness.
