How you will make contributions that matter... In accordance with SOP’s and customer’s specifications, stage, weigh and record all batch ingredients. Mix and blend wet/dry ingredients in accordance with product mix/batch sheet specifications. Record all ingredient usage using location ERP system. Collect pre-blend and final product samples as required. Perform all required batch analytical testing. Report any product deviations to the department supervisor. Follow all allergen protocols. Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s) in detail without deviation. Operate tanks, pumps and blend operations equipment. Perform equipment clean-up, CIP/SIP operations. Perform routine equipment adjustments. Safe operation of a lift truck. Accurately and neatly complete batch records, system data entry and documentation. Perform all department environmental controls. Perform product reclaim and rework operations in accordance with reclaim guidelines. Support internal and external audits. Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures. Follow all established GMP’s and Food Safety requirements. Effective coordination and cooperation with other departments. Perform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelines. Comply with federal, state and local dairy food regulations. Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics, actively apply the Saputo Company Values and Workplace Climate Policy. Work together as a team. Other duties as required by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of (2)-two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing, dairy food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • A working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, QAP, HACCP, SOP,5S, GMP, etc.).
  • Strong math skills.
  • Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Truck).
  • Strong technical skills, ability to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels and mechanical operations.
  • Successful completion of drug screen and background check.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated work history.
  • Good attendance is a must.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.
  • Working with chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment and following approved chemical handling procedures.
  • Physical lifting up to 50-lbs frequently throughout the shift.
  • Shift flexibility.
  • This is a hands-on role for a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
  • Our blend operators are assigned to a team in support of dairy operations. This can either be days, swing or night shift and weekends.
  • Work days and shifts may change to help cover vacations/absences, during plant downtime or related events such as audits.
  • This is a night shift position working 6pm to 6:30am on a 2-2-3 schedule
  • Starting Salary $26.14/hr, additional $2/hr on nights

  • Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications is a plus, but not required.
