About The Position

S&S Worldwide, Inc. the largest US manufacturer of roller coasters and thrill rides, is seeking a full-time Blast/Prep Laborer to provide support to the Paint Department. Blast/Prep Laborer Job Summary The Blast/Prep Laborer will work in the blast bay, shot/sand blasting metal fabricated parts and components used for S&S Worldwide Inc.' amusement park rides. The Blast/Prep Laborer will also prepare fiberglass, steel, aluminum, and other materials for painting. In addition, the Blast/Prep Laborer will mask/unmask parts and load/unload paint racks. Efficiently and safely use a forklift and overhead crane, multiple times/day. The position also requires good attention to detail and a proven record of excellent attendance and work performance. Responsibilities Works in a blast booth environment wearing proper safety equipment Sets up, operates, and cleans shot/sand blasting equipment, loads machine hopper with abrasives such as shot or sand Apply masking materials to protect designated areas from abrasive action Apply masking materials to protect areas from being painted Cleans the blasted material of any extra grit after completion of blasting surface Safely and efficiently use a forklift and overhead crane (S&S will provide training and certification for both) Other duties as assigned The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed in this job function. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Follow all safety requirements for the site and area of operation
• Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, stand, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Good vision and hand-eye coordination
• Good communication skills, written and verbal
• Successfully pass forklift and overhead crane training and certification
• Show up to work every day, on time, and work the entire shift

Responsibilities
