About The Position

Blade Technician is responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, replacing, inspecting and modifying all processing, packaging and facility equipment with optimal quality and efficiency. Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, Cold (40-45 degrees) and wet environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change
  • Skill in organization, prioritization and attention to detail
  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines
  • High School diploma or equivalency (such as a technical degree) required; specific technical training to support the Maintenance Skills Summary, basic business requirements such as attendance, punctuality and good work habits

Nice To Haves

  • Operate our CMMS system and demonstrate 100% functionality in order to complete work orders in the system
  • Possess good communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Safely maintaining, repairing, replacing, inspecting and modifying all processing, packaging and facility equipment with optimal quality and efficiency
  • Maintain communication with other departments and employees as to notify them of any problems and concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
  • Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
  • Adhering to food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and other requirements
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information
  • Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area
  • Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, and fall restraints
  • Responsible for food safety and food quality related to designated area
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
