About The Position

This position is responsible for dealing all games that may be introduced to meet the needs of the guest while assuring adherence to Minimum Internal Gaming Controls. In all interactions, the position is responsible for making STAR service to guests and fellow team members a first priority. Shooting Star Casino team members will always deliver excellent guest service to our guests and fellow co-workers. Requirements

Must meet licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal-State Compact for Class III Gaming
Blackjack Dealer License
Knowledge of and ability to apply Internal Gaming Controls.
Knowledge of promotional programs offered by the Casino at any given time.
Knowledge of the Casinos products and services.
Knowledge of all Class II and Class III Games offered in the pit area.
Skill of receiving a message, understanding the intended message and giving feedback to ensure guest expectations are met.
Skill in basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimals.
Skill of developing and maintaining positive relationships with external and internal customers.
Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as gaming controls and procedure manuals, safety rules, and operation and maintenance instructions.
Ability to follow procedures and give attention to detail.
Ability to frequently reach below shoulder height.
Ability to frequently stand for moderate periods of time.
Ability to occasionally sit for moderate periods of time.

Responsibilities

Deals assigned games in a courteous and accurate manner to comply with the Shooting Star Casino Table Games Dealer Procedure Manual.
Handles cards, chips and money in a proficient manner.
Verifies proper point totals of all hands verbally.
Pays winning hands or takes losing hands.
Maintains a good game pace by controlling player action to the extent possible maximizing hands per hour.
Ensures the strictest of confidentiality is maintained at all times. Inspects customer currency, exchanges for gaming chips, and deposits cash in drop box to ensure the safety of all negotiable items. Verifies fills and credits on assigned table to ensure all transactions are accurate.
Checks fills and credit slips for proper signatures.
Inspects chips according to procedure when doing fills or credits.
Listens and responds to guest concerns to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
Refers guests to the appropriate department or function for issue resolution.
Assist guests on the rules of play.
Other duties as assigned.
