About The Position

Pomeroy Living, a vibrant independent and assisted living community, is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bistro Server to join our team. You'll be the face of our bustling bistro, preparing and serving delicious lunch items, snacks, and beverages to our valued residents, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• Responsible and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Prior food service experience preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and heat approved bistro food items according to established recipes and procedures.
• Serve food and beverages with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Accurately take orders and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
• Handle and store all food items according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines (ServSafe principles).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bistro environment.
• Assist the dietary department in the main kitchen as needed.
• Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
• Organize and restock bistro items as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, staff, and visitors.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
