About The Position

The Bison Lodge Host & Ranch Ambassador is a distinguished hospitality professional who delivers the highest level of personalized service to our most discerning guests. This dual-function role serves as the dedicated host for Bison Lodge—our premier luxury accommodation—while transitioning to the Ranch Ambassador role when the lodge is unoccupied. As the Bison Lodge Host, this individual acts as the single point of contact between guests and all ranch operations, orchestrating a seamless, ultra-personalized experience that anticipates every need. They provide western hospitality service including private transportation coordination, bespoke provisioning, discreet housekeeping, beverage service, and execution of curated experiences designed by our pre-arrival concierge team. When Bison Lodge is not in use, this role expands to serve as Ranch Ambassador—bringing an unwavering commitment to hospitality across the entire property, striving to exceed guest expectations with thoughtful, personalized service. This position is built for someone who approaches every interaction with creativity, warmth, and a passion for making every guest feel special.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in luxury hospitality, private service, or guest services, with demonstrated expertise in personalized, high-touch service roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect meaningfully with guests and colleagues at all levels and effectively coordinate across departments
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to anticipate guest needs and go beyond traditional expectations to improve their experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain the highest service standards in a dynamic environment
  • Deep knowledge of luxury hospitality standards and best practices in personalized service
  • Working knowledge of basic cocktail preparation, wine service, and beverage presentation
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and comfort driving various vehicle types
  • Proficiency with hospitality management systems and communication platforms
  • Understanding of dietary restrictions, food safety, and proper food handling

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the dedicated point of contact and liaison between Bison Lodge guests and all ranch departments, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery
  • Collaborate closely with pre-arrival concierge team to receive guest preference profiles, itineraries, and special requirements
  • Execute personalized experiences and arrangements planned by the pre-arrival concierge team
  • Maintain detailed notes on guest preferences throughout their stay and communicate updates to pre-arrival team for future visits
  • Coordinate all on-property services, activities, dining reservations, and special requests through centralized communication with ranch operations
  • Arrange and provide private transportation for Bison Lodge guests throughout the property and to off-site destinations as needed
  • Coordinate vehicle scheduling with transportation manager to ensure Bison Lodge guests are on schedule with itinerery timings
  • Ensure vehicles are immaculately maintained and stocked with guest preferences (beverages, amenities, etc.) when being used by Host and returned to transportation team clean and ready for other drivers
  • Plan routes and timing to optimize guest experiences and privacy
  • Conduct personalized grocery shopping and provisioning based on guest preferences and dietary needs provided by pre-arrival concierge
  • Stock Bison Lodge kitchen, bar, and pantry with requested items prior to arrival and replenish throughout stay
  • Manage inventory of lodge provisions and coordinate with culinary team for custom requests
  • Communicate provisioning needs and timing with appropriate departments
  • Perform discreet housekeeping duties including tidying, organizing, and maintaining pristine presentation of all lodge spaces
  • Coordinate with housekeeping team for deep cleaning while managing guest privacy and service timing preferences
  • Monitor lodge condition and promptly communicate maintenance needs to maintenance team
  • Ensure all amenities, linens, and guest touchpoints meet LMR standards throughout the stay
  • Reset and prepare spaces after guest use (dining areas, living spaces, outdoor areas)
  • Prepare and serve basic cocktails, wine, and beverages according to guest preferences and requests
  • Maintain working knowledge of basic cocktail recipes and Bison Lodge guest drink preparation preferences
  • Set up and serve in-lodge dining experiences in coordination with culinary team when needed
  • Manage bar inventory, glassware, and service equipment for Bison Lodge
  • Communicate any special beverage requests to F&B team for guidance or preparation
  • Execute personalized itineraries and experiences designed by pre-arrival concierge team
  • Coordinate with all LMR department teams as needed to deliver planned arrangements seamlessly
  • Anticipate opportunities to create memorable moments and exceed expectations during guest stay
  • Support special occasions (anniversaries, proposals, celebrations) with creativity and discretion as planned by pre-arrival team
  • Provide on-the-ground knowledge of ranch activities and current conditions to enhance guest experiences
  • Communicate guest feedback and requests back to management and relevant departments
  • Maintain a proactive presence across the property, engaging with guests to ensure their needs are met and their expectations exceeded
  • Foster an atmosphere of genuine hospitality by anticipating guest needs and providing personalized recommendations that enhance their stay
  • Address guest concerns with empathy and creativity, coordinating with appropriate departments to ensure solutions and satisfaction

Benefits

  • All hourly employees will be able to participate in our seasonal bonus program. Each hourly employee will receive $1 per hour worked per season and $1.50 per overtime hour worked. Employees who are terminated or resign from their position before the end of each season, will not be able to participate in this program. If the season is cut short due to business levels, the employee will still participate in this program. Positions that are contracted at a shorter term, like the Outdoor Youth Adventures program, this employee will be able to participate in this program. All hours worked outside of these seasonal ranges will not apply to this bonus program.
  • You will have access to our staff cafeteria which provides 3 meals a day, as well as a large selection of grab and go items to suit anyone’s day.
  • In addition to your hourly rate, you will receive a ranch gratuity unique to us.
  • If there are openings, you have free access to the following in the summer season: horseback riding, Outdoor Youth Adventures Program, Yellowstone National Park Tours, yoga, and mountain biking. During the winter months, you will have access to 50 Miles of world renown cross country ski trails right outside your back door.
  • If you remain with us for 1 full year and worked a minimum of 1560 hours during our 12-month lookback period (that takes place at the end of each year), you are eligible to move to full-time status. Full-time status means Vacation and Sick pay, medical, dental, life and vision insurance. This will be effective the first of the month following 30 days of your full-time employment hire date or status. The Ranch will pay for 80% of the premiums for employees and any dependents. Employees will be responsible for paying the remaining 20% of the premiums. Payment is deducted automatically from the employee’s semi- monthly paycheck at a pre-taxed rate.
