About The Position
The Birthday Party Assistant monitors and performs duties in regards to birthday parties. Reporting to the Birthday Party Coordinator, the Birthday Party Assistant provides care and instruction for children in a comfortable, friendly, safe and secure environment. This is a part-time position.
Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 16 years of age or 15 years of age with a valid work permit.
- The candidate should also have prior experience working children 1 – 10 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Assists in prepping party activities prior to guests arriving.
- Set-up party room with necessary paper goods, as requested by guest.
- Assists guests in completing projects that have been pre-selected according to the theme of the party.
- Assist in all aspects of birthday parties, including, but not limited to, set-up, running, supervising and clean up.
- Follow safety rules and keep work area in clean and orderly condition.
- Makes recommendations and works to ensure that the Park District is in compliance with all ADA guidelines for registration, programs and facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
