About The Position

As a team member at Michaels in Baxter, MN, you will plan, coordinate, and facilitate events, including kids' birthday parties, to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. Your role will involve delivering friendly customer service, helping customers shop, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. You will also complete operational tasks such as truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold our Brand Promises. In the event coordination aspect, you will manage multiple events simultaneously, engaging with clients of all ages and creating an environment of fun and creativity. You will demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects, perform face painting, and facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons. Communication with clients and store team members is essential, as is completing administrative tasks such as answering emails and making phone calls. You will also need to adjust plans based on client feedback and ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events while upholding cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.

  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values.
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
