About The Position
Join BIOS Life as our first Biostatistician, reporting to the Head of AI to build a pioneering personalized cancer surveillance platform. You will design and validate statistical models that bridge AI research and clinical oncology. This role is pivotal in ensuring our life-saving diagnostics are robust, clinically sound, and scalable globally. Requirements
- Holds a PhD or Master’s in Biostatistics or a related quantitative field with 3+ years of experience in biotech, healthcare, or medical research
- Strong proficiency in R or Python for statistical modeling and solid understanding of validating machine learning or AI models
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex statistical findings for multidisciplinary stakeholders and comfortable traveling up to 25% to the UK
Responsibilities
- Design and execute statistical methodologies to validate AI-driven healthcare models, ensuring clinical relevance and statistical rigor for regulatory alignment
- Collaborate with data scientists and the Medical Director to define study designs, endpoints, and validation frameworks for prospective and real-world studies
- Develop automated analysis pipelines for complex clinical datasets, providing critical insights into study power, data quality, and the interpretability of AI outputs
