You will serve as a Biostatistician assigned to the U. S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory (USACIL), responsible for providing forensic laboratory support to U. S. Department of Defense (DoD) criminal investigation organizations, legal agencies, and other federal and non-federal agencies. Provides statistical expertise utilized in evaluating the validity of forensic research and the analysis of forensic casework.

Apply statistical theory, principles, and techniques to a broad range of all forensic disciplines.
Contribute to the planning and preparing of forensic research projects.
Develop and implement statistical methodology and procedures in support of forensic research.
Provide statistical support for evaluating and validating new equipment, methods, and models.
Provide recommendations for corrective actions to ensure adequate and appropriate statistical procedures are used in the protocols.
Conduct training in the application of statistical methods.
Perform data analysis and create data visualizations to produce statistical reports.
Develop formal written reports of forensic data analysis suitable for legal presentation.
Provide witness testimony supporting the statistical analysis of forensic results.
Provide technical support for commercial computer software for data analysis.
Conduct formal instruction for applying complex statistical packages.
Utilize specialized software programs and programming languages for data analysis, data visualizations, etc.
Develop computer programs for the statistical methodology.

Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science.
One year of specialized experience which includes consulting, evaluating, analyzing all aspects of statistical application of approved protocols, planning and preparing forensic research projects, performing data analysis, producing statistical reports, developing written reports for legal presentation, utilizing software programs for data analysis, visualizations.
