Works under general direction to provide statistical consultation for faculty, staff, and students. This role collaborates with Dr. Salter, research staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high quality study design, data integrity, and accurate interpretation of statistical findings. The consultant contributes to research development through statistical analysis plans, data management strategies, and analytical execution to support publications, presentations, grants, and regulatory submissions. This position will perform statistical analyses and apply machine-learning techniques to biomedical datasets. This role emphasizes statistical reasoning, interpretation, and communication. Experience performing statistical analyses in a biomedical or healthcare environment preferred. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in R or SAS for statistical modeling and data analysis; familiarity with supervised machine-learning methods (e.g., penalized regression, random forests, gradient boosting) and appropriate model validation practices; and, the ability to clearly communicate analytical findings to investigators and collaborators. A master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, computer science (with strong statistical training, epidemiology, or related quantitative field) will be highly considered.
