About The Position

This role requires a biosolids technology leader with the requisite skills to grow our business and support our clients in the Mid-Atlantic region. The position requires leadership in the execution and delivery of technically complex biosolids projects and provides opportunities for thought leadership through collaboration with global practice leadership for biosolids and energy recovery as well as research and innovation teams in the development and deployment of innovative technologies. The successful candidate will be someone with strong leadership and communication skills, market knowledge, technical understanding of biosolids processes, business acumen combined with innovative ideas, and a successful history of client relations and account management.

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years of biosolids related experience, preferably for biosolids master planning and design projects
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain license within 6 months
• Strong ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and Revit models
• Demonstrates strong understanding of construction elements as it relates to design
• Demonstrates strong communication skills with particular emphasis on listening
• Demonstrates financial capabilities to facilitate benefit to cost analyses of biosolids and energy recovery projects

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of design professionals and technicians to meet project scope and budget
• Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams
• Perform complex engineering design tasks on assigned wastewater-related projects through collaboration with a wide range of technical disciplines
• Competently perform mass & energy balance and process equipment sizing calculations and coordinate with other engineering disciplines
• Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule
• Conduct and/or coordinate quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects
• Support the permitting process of projects, which may require meeting with clients, contractors, interested stakeholder parties
• Oversee proposals including development of the scope and level of effort of comparable size
• Research and understand issues related to regulatory and other drivers that impact individual projects
• Assist business leaders in project revenue forecasting
