Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field.
  • Completion of at least sophomore year and continuing education in the Fall.
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques in relevant areas.
  • Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary scientific setting.
  • Strong initiative and ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Exceptional skills for bench-top experimental work and use of analytical instrumentation.
  • Competence in documenting results, analyzing data, and communicating conclusions.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality work.

  • Demonstrated creativity in problem-solving and experimental design.
  • Experience with advanced analytical tools or specialized techniques.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research projects in areas such as microbial strain construction and protein engineering.
  • Apply high-throughput screening techniques to accelerate discovery.
  • Work with cell culture systems to support experimental workflows.
  • Explore biocatalysis and crystallography for innovative solutions.
  • Develop analytical methods, including mass spectrometry.
  • Participate in fermentation and bioprocess development and optimization.
  • Evaluate formulation materials and processes for improved performance.
  • Document experimental results, analyze data, and present findings.
  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to drive scientific progress.
