The Bioprocess Technician will perform duties associated with aseptic processes, weighing, measuring, counting, calculations, sampling, and verifications required for biological production processes. The technician will ensure compliance with batch production records (BPR), current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) standards, safety standards, and site procedures. A basic knowledge in fermentation, centrifuge, concentration units, and biological organisms is required. The technician will understand the basic operation of production equipment and ensure all equipment, instruments, and production materials are released and available for use. Responsibilities also include looking up and performing transactions within the electronic inventory management system, overseeing production processes, cleaning, environmental monitoring, and personnel, and performing in-process batch quality checks per written procedures. Safety is paramount, and the technician will follow safety rules, wear appropriate safety equipment, and maintain proper safety practices at all times. Basic computer skills will be utilized to create and update standard operating procedures, write deviation reports, and complete all assigned training, including general company procedures, area procedures, equipment operation, computer operation, safety, GMP, and other necessary training. The technician will also generate or collect new ideas about workplace and processes and read and interpret batch records, quality, and safety documentation.
