About The Position

The Biomedical Technician is responsible for overseeing the overall operational condition, maintenance and repair of all water treatment equipment, all medical equipment and mechanical/electrical systems to ensure patient safety and the safety of all staff operating such equipment for their assigned clinic(s). This position will be cross trained to assist with Patient Care Technician duties in a busy Dialysis unit.

Requirements

• Associate in Applied Science degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics or military equivalent required
• AAMI/BMET certification required
• Be familiar with all emergency equipment and emergency operational procedures
• Use appropriate safety measures including personal protective equipment as necessary
• Be familiar with codes and OSHA regulations
• Good communication skills
• Comprehends medical electronic equipment and systems to a degree to enable modification of existing systems as required

Nice To Haves

• 4 years of experience with medical electronic devices at circuit level
