BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB Provides preventive maintenance and repairs on clinical equipment and medical networks. Maintains all required equipment documentation and appropriate parts inventory. Provides user training and investigates medical device safety issues as needed. REPORTS TO Biomedical Technologies Manager JOB REQUIREMENTS Supervisory Responsibilities: NO Minimum Education: Associates degree, or military training equivalent, required Degree: Degree in Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Technologies, Healthcare Technology Management, or vocational electronics preferred License/Certification Required: None Minimum Work Experience: 2 - 3 years’ experience in a hospital setting required REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Excellent troubleshooting, customer service, communication, critical thinking, and computer skills. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and interactions. MUST be able to effectively communicate with clinical staff, providers, patients / parents, and IT / Engineering peers, both verbally and via email / TEAMS. Manufacturer specialized certification on anesthesia machines, ventilators, patient monitoring / networks, defibrillators, neonatal warming systems, etc. Come work where you can make a difference everyday.
