About The Position

The Biomedical Equipment Technician I (BMET I) at TRIMEDX is responsible for providing clinical equipment services under close supervision. This role focuses on the validation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment, ensuring safety and proper operation. The technician will also assist in troubleshooting and major repairs, while adhering to the company's core values and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Requirements

• Associates degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent military training required.
• 3 months experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on biomedical equipment.
• Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment.
• Inform supervisors of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, and any customer concerns.
• Work with and document the activities of subcontractors and vendors to ensure proper service delivery.
• Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database, including inventory and service history.
• Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan and regulatory compliance policies.
• Build and maintain customer relationships, discussing equipment status with clinicians.
• Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status and maintain accurate equipment records.
