About The Position

The Biomedical Technician role at Covenant Health involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment in hospital settings and for external clients. This position encompasses three levels: Associate, Biomedical, and Senior Biomedical Technician, each with increasing responsibilities and qualifications. Requirements

• Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology, Military or Technical Training or equivalent education/experience.
• 1 year of experience in repair of biomedical equipment for Associate level.
• 3 years of experience in repair of biomedical equipment for Biomedical Technician level.
• 8 years of experience in repair of biomedical equipment for Senior Biomedical Technician level.
• Biomedical Technician certification upon hire for Senior level.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinical engineering environment.
• Familiarity with life-support and advanced medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and perform electrical safety inspections on medical equipment.
• Conduct periodic maintenance and performance testing of medical devices.
• Execute major and minor repairs of medical equipment in assigned areas.
• Operate sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation for inspections and repairs.
• Analyze testing data and prepare reports on equipment performance.
• Provide technical support and training to clinical departments regarding medical technologies.
