Summary: Manages multiple large projects simultaneously that could include medical equipment specification gathering, ordering, and installation over several sites. Provides advanced levels of equipment and/or departmental service and support and performs preventive maintenance, quality assurance inspections, and installation. Repairs, installations, inspects, troubleshoots, and calibrates equipment. Completes the preventive maintenance (PM) workload to achieve consistently high level of PM compliance over time (95% or greater). Prioritizes scheduled maintenance in accordance with medical equipment maintenance policy. Executes professional-level inventory assessments/audits and makes recommendations for specialty equipment purchases. Procures best value products, labor, and parts sources to minimize the total cost of service to the organization. Participates in the continuous performance improvement initiatives regarding medical equipment. Oversee the work of external contractors/vendors engaged in providing services for specialized equipment. Performs repairs on defective or malfunctioning equipment. Reviews, modifies, develops, and implements written preventive maintenance and quality assurance testing procedures. Provide assistance/guidance to other colleagues in maintaining Imaging equipment in other modalities. Periodically conform to a flexible work schedule on an as-needed basis. Participate in on-call rotation and upgrade support.
