About The Position

The Biomedical Equipment Technician I at Agiliti is responsible for conducting cost-effective maintenance on medical equipment located primarily at customer sites. This role ensures that medical devices are functioning properly to meet customer needs, performing operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair services. The technician plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare facilities by ensuring quality medical equipment is available for effective patient care.

Requirements

• An associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology.
• Equivalent military training or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) is acceptable.
• Basic computer skills and understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
• Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as needed to support a 24/7 schedule.
• Willingness to travel periodically to support business needs.
• The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 75 pounds.
• The ability to often bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on various medical devices.
• Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.
