About The Position

The Biomedical Engineering Department at Lee Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time technician to provide technical support in the areas of preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, calibration, and safety testing of general medical equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the proper functioning of medical equipment under the Medical Equipment Management Program across all locations within the Lee Memorial Health System (LMHS). The technician will work independently on various medical equipment, including telemetry systems, defibrillators, electrosurgical systems, monitoring systems, and sterilization systems.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Electronics or equivalent education required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Biomedical Engineering or related field required.
• State of Florida Licensure is not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance of medical equipment.
• Perform calibration and safety testing of general medical equipment.
• Work independently on various types of medical equipment as part of the Medical Equipment Management Program.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards for medical devices.
