About The Position

The Biomedical Equipment Technician Internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in the field of biomedical engineering. Interns will work closely with experienced technicians to learn about the maintenance and repair of medical equipment, ensuring that all devices are safe and compliant with regulatory standards. This internship is designed to provide practical knowledge and skills that are essential for a career in biomedical equipment technology.

Responsibilities

• Learn about and assist with electrical safety inspections, preventive maintenance inspections, & calibrations
• Assist with identifying and rectifying any equipment deficiencies per manufacturer’s specifications
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all medical equipment, network hardware, and infrastructure managed by the Clinical Engineering Department
• Ensure all medical equipment meets regulatory standards and complete all documentation with regards to inventory, inspection, repair, parts ordering, and device labeling before equipment is returned to service
