About The Position

Cardio Partners, a Sarnova company, is hiring for a Biomedical Equipment Technician. Cardio Partners, a division of Sarnova, is a national leader in emergency prevention and an ardent advocate in the fight against Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). Summary: The Biomedical Equipment Technician will troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on biomedical equipment. This role will inspect, install, and perform inventory assessments and preventive maintenance of medical equipment. The BMET must demonstrate a working knowledge and use of required test equipment and the electronics, including pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge and skills. They also interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and other applicable service information required to perform and document preventive maintenance and repair of medical equipment and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established Sarnova procedures. Requirements

  • Associates degree in electronics or medical equipment technology or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • 2+ years safety testing, repair, maintenance, and support of medical equipment.
  • 2+ years of assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance of a medical equipment

Nice To Haves

  • CBET or additional technical certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform troubleshooting and repairs on designated equipment, while working within the established procedure.
  • Demonstrate proper methods and techniques of installation, calibration, preventive maintenance and repair troubleshooting for their designated modality.
  • Instruct customers and staff in applications and operations of the equipment and to resolve equipment problems.
  • Analyze, interpret and follow signal flow on blue prints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform manufacturer-mandated equipment modifications and satisfactorily complete the required paperwork.
  • Be able to perform all system service diagnostics on applicable products.
  • Maintain equipment training certifications from OEMs.
